How do I use it?

Make sure the panel is cool to touch. Mist lightly over one section at a time. Wipe in one direction rather than circles. Then buff with a separate clean dry microfibre cloth.

No hose, no bucket, no rinsing.

Test on a small, inconspicuous area first, particularly on leather or delicate surfaces.

Does it leave a protective coating?

Yes. WakaWax leaves a protective layer on the surface. That's why a treated panel wipes up more easily next time and holds its gloss.

Most customers get four to six weeks from a treated surface, though it depends entirely on use — how often it's touched, and how much fog and fingerprints it's exposed to.

Does it help with fogging on glass?

Yes. Reducing fogging is the thing we demonstrate most often when we sell face to face, and it works the same on a windscreen, a bathroom mirror or a shower screen.

What about fingerprints?

Most customers find a treated surface stays clear for around a month, depending on how much it gets touched. When marks do appear, a dry microfibre cloth takes them straight off without needing to clean the whole thing again.

A car window with a child in the back seat is a different story to a window nobody goes near.

Is it safe on ceramic-coated paintwork?

Yes, and the reason is that WakaWax is silicone-free. It won't sit on top of a ceramic coating or interfere with it.

Is it safe on TV and computer screens?

Yes, with the right method.

Turn the screen off and let it cool. Spray onto the microfibre cloth, never directly onto the screen. Wipe, then finish with a second dry cloth.

Spraying any liquid straight at a screen risks it running into the edges, which is why the cloth goes first.

Can I use it around the house? What surfaces?

Plenty of customers do. The common ones are shower screens, kitchen benchtops, splashbacks, mirrors, windows, fridges, cabinets and taps.

Customers have also told us they use it on toilets, office desks, glass and chairs.

Is it safe on painted furniture and doors?

Yes, on sealed painted surfaces. They behave much like painted cabinets, which have had years of use without a complaint.

How far does a bottle go, and what does a wash cost?

One 750ml bottle washes a car four times.

• 750ml — 4 washes, around $10 a wash
• 3.78L refill — around 20 washes, around $6 a wash
• 20L drum — around 100 washes, under $3 a wash

The bulk sizes are refills, so they cost less per litre. The 20L comes with a dispensing tap. The 3.78L doesn't, so decant it into a spray bottle.

How often should I use it?

As often as you like. You're removing real dirt each time, so there's no downside to washing more.

Re-applying to an already-clean surface doesn't add anything, though — the protective layer is already there.

I bought it from someone at a service station. How do I buy it again?

Right here. Everything we sell face to face is on this site, in the same sizes plus some larger ones.
